The just-concluded 2022 was a year of turning around and rebuilding the economy, the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) said Saturday, reports news agency UNB.

Bangladesh’s central bank, Bangladesh Bank, which on 28 December held a meeting with the textile and garment makers’ bodies on the issue of allowing to settle the back-to-back letters of credit in Taka at local stages, failed to reach any decision after two trade bodies- the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) failed to agree on this.
